Honestly, I’m not against this style of writing (ie falling in love at first sight, or should I say, fated lovers) but I wish it had been pulled off with a bit more subtly? Something akin to SJ and San Er, who got to know each other and had really good chemistry – it’s almost impossible to compare the two relationships at present – one just has so much more weight.
Also, is this new guy really so… idk unable to protect himself? Surely he must have had a plan for if he hadn’t met SJ, right? (to protect himself for the assassin?)
Sounds like I’m complaining a lot OTL I’m just surprised by the sudden change in tone for this new (romantic) relationship lol

I think as we move along, we’ll definitely see the chemistry between SJ & QXZ… although I’m still on the fence when I compare QXZ & San Er also. They both have their own strengths & weaknesses so I’m also not sure at this point who is the best candidate for SJ. ☺️ But at the end of the day, SJ gets to be the one who can pick her suitor or more like the author. Lol…
