Ok, please allow me to rant a little bit. I know the majority of you readers are very nice people and really do appreciate what I’m doing, only a few who are obnoxiously rude people. So I’m going to shout out to these few obnoxious people. I’m not sure how there are people like these few bad apples in the whole worlds, who think that they’re entitled to get everything that they want. First of all, I’m using my free time to translate this novel. Yes, I’m only translating it so I’m not responsible for what kind of characters that the author put in this novel. So if these few bad apples don’t like the characters that are being showed in this novel, I CAN’T do anything about it. So you shouldn’t write any rude comment swearing to the author that you don’t like the characters. If you don’t like the characters, then DO NOT read this novel or you can write your own novel so you can pick whatever personalities for those characters that you like. I’m a very nice person & I can take some disagreement without any issue as long as you write it nicely. But when your every other word is a swear word showing how disgusted you are with the way the female lead is being described as not pretty over and over again. Well, there’s nothing I can do about it. This was not my novel that I wrote on my own. It was how the society in that period looked at females especially when they came from powerful backgrounds as MSQ was. First impression was always how she looked and her other external appearances. You don’t like it & I don’t like it either but it’s the way the author is trying to portray that MSQ looks normal in appearances but her other internal characteristics are the ones that the author are trying to show to us and these characteristics were the reason why I wanted to translate this novel on the first place. So don’t you come to me & write nasty stuffs on this blog.

Secondly, I don’t make any money at all doing this. Not from advertising or any other places or sources. I’m not trying to make any money. This is just a hobby of mine so whether there is only 1 person or 2,500 people who will read my translation, it doesn’t change anything as far as I’m concerned. So if you’re going to leave a comment for me, write it nicely & I’ll respond to it if I can. If you want to ask me to do something, also ask nicely and don’t start complaining that this blog sucks because there’s no features that you like. I’ll try my best to accommodate everybody, but this is still only a hobby of mine. “You are flattering her, she (actual words actually use a term that lowered one’s status) has a small skill, Rong Daren is mocking her!” Although Fu Bo Wen declined modestly, but his face showed his pride that could not be covered up.

Soon after, a music echoed, a sound of a soft silk flute, was floating inside the huge banquet hall, and attracted everyone’s attentions. Then it changed to Fu Ming Shuang who was wearing a red dress, beautiful, alluring and luxurious. And this red dress was also the reason that made everyone sighed startlingly, the color and luster was a fresh crimson brocade. On it, its embroidery was a rich and elegant colorful peony, the colors matched perfectly. It looked like every flowers were grown on this brocade, was shown on this brocade. Laoyezi is just a more polite or more formal appellation for an older male. It can be translated to old father, but I think it’s weird to use Old Father  I’ll use the same translation as Master (which is the same as Laoye). The words Laoye alone can be translated as Master, which is used whenever MSQ calls Fu Bo Wen.

So anybody is surprised that MSQ’s maternal side of the family is actually a powerful family as her maternal grandfather was the former Prime Minister? I guess it makes sense on how the old MSQ was engaged to Xuanyuan Yi which is from a general’s family. And it also kinds of make sense why the old MSQ was a bully. She was the typical annoying wealthy girl who thought she owned the world and the world had to cater to her. Her grandfather was a former PM after all…
